About me

When I became interested in music, I was Eleven years old, 1999 in Daytona. Ironically my first experiences were Christina Aguilera, Backstreet Boys, Blink 182, Rob Thomas, and Smash Mouth. From there my interest peaked when in the car with my brother, blaring Metallica from the stereo. Never heard anything like it before, but the pumping riffs caught my attention. My venture from Pop, to obscure metal, to punk/ pop-punk, led me to a period of depression when I was 14 leaving a religion that I had put so much of my life into, problems in school, problems with family (although that wouldn’t come to full fruition until much much later). At Fifteen, Thats when Eminem, Ludachris, 50 Cent, Nas, and especially Tupac, came into my life when I needed it the most. I remember reading and studying the inner book of these albums meticulously, finding the inner rhymes and a deeper meaning behind the lyrics. I began writing my own poetry, emulating Em, Nas, and Tupac, eventually growing into my own style.
I was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. Me and my mother, along with my brother and the man who called himself my step-dad, moved to Kentucky when I was six, in a partially constructed house with no electricity or running water, (we had an outhouse behind the property), on the slope of woods that lumbered over me in the twilight, a tire swing that overlooked a cow pasture. We only lived there for about half a year before abruptly leaving for Pensacola, FL. My life has been get-up-and-go since I was six. Shitty home to Shitty home, ambivalent school to ambivalent school. From there on, it was just me and my mother and some wannabe step fathers. She worked into the nights, and it was up to me to take care of myself most of the time. I don’t blame her, now that I’m an adult I can understand the insurmountable struggles she must have gone through to give me a roof and -sometimes- food. Listen to my words in the songs I create, and you’ll fully understand my life.
